Happy 12th Birthday

Card challenges are the best! Thanks to Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the inspiration to create this card for my step grandson who is turning 12. I love inchies, so I saw this and was psyched to pull out my birthday box of embellishments to create some squares. The color scheme came from the hat and balloon that I found first. I tried the “12th” in two other blues before I settled on the darkest and went with acetate instead of vellum so you can see what’s underneath better. I’m super jazzed with the results! I’m also entering this in Mod Squad as I used “birthday balloons” , and Fab and Funky for “no designer paper” used.

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.
