Caring Thoughts

Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #539 & #503

I started with the sketch from Tuesday Morning. I was thinking of using Hearts, but I just finished a card with hearts so I went with flowers. I found the papercraft challenge to use at least two patterned papers so I chose the two Stampin’ up! polka dot scraps and another random scrap with dots from my “yellow” scrap drawer. I’m in love with this set by Stampin Up called Beautiful Bouquet and stamped and punched various blooms and arranged. I used the Sizzix Sizzlets little leaves, and a bitty banner that reads “Caring Thoughts”. I had made the two leaves too matchy matchy, so I put the sentiment over the bottom right to break up the matchiness. This will make a cheerful thinking of you card don’t you think? suddenly I’m craving citrus…!

Tip: Flowers, Butterflies, and leaves are great things to stamp and punch or die cut when your not feeling creative but want to be crafting! I have a whole meadow of flowers and a forest of leaves at the ready when I want to create. I store them in plastic clam shell containers from Stampin’ Up.

I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  1. What a great idea to go with the flowers I love this and the added embellishments of the little leaves poking out are a nice touch Thanks so much for creating with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
