Birthday & Valentine

Not sure why but when I saw this sketch on My Favorite Things, I thought of the Swirly Bird Dies from Stampin’ Up!.

The Color Throwdown challenge helped with the Valentine theme choice by calling for us to use shades of grey and red. I used a clear vellum white paint spattered background and added a wee sentiment to complete my card. I’m thinking hubby might be getting this one this year.

On to the next Card:

Sorry, I think I forgot the “Clean” in CAS again! I got the simple part right. I grabbed the first container of scrapbook paper in my reach and decided that the first paper that I could fussy cut the top off of that I would use. This paper I think was from the dollar store and the cake was part of the design of the 12 x 12 paper. I cut and layered the pieces and added the happy birthday banner to the bottom. The card stock and matching envelope are from Stampin’ Up! .

Thanks for reading!
