My blog roll this morning started with a special post from Stamplorations about Turners Syndrome. This blog hop is intended to educate the public about this medical issue, and how girls who survive to birth are little miracles. I’m not part of the blog hop, but I thought I would post a link for you to read about it HERE ,and HERE to read about the illness. Since the butterfly is a tiny fragile miracle too, it makes sense that it’s one of the symbols they chose to help us understand this condition. At Less is More, the challenge is to go as white and minimal as possible, and Mix it Up is calling for a stencil. In my stash I came upon my beautiful butterfly stencil (a little large, but it will have to do) and the perfect sentiment from the Flower Patch stamp set by Stampin’ Up! that reads, “BE YOU (TIFUL).
This will make a sweet thinking of you/ encouragement note for a young girl don’t you think?

1st attempt: did the butterfly first then smudged the sentiment.
2nd attempt: Moved the stencil by accident and used washi tape that peeled the paper.
3rd attempt: All good till I smudged ink from the stencil on the bottom right.
4th attempt is the winner! I switched to a sponge dauber and cleaned the stencil.
TIP: Use your errors for future project. I cut out the usable parts and put them in the
“box of inspiration” to be a starting point for a future card.

Very beautiful butterfly and your stenciling turned out perfect. Love the clean lines of these cards, they have a feel of expensive stationery products! Thank you for joining us at Less Is More!
