Feeling Sketchy got me started on this first Valentine. I knew I wanted to use a combination of hearts and flowers so I started with my pink scrap drawer and found this great background along with hot pink ticket stubs for the border. I got into my container of leaves and picked 3 in dark green. I added little flowers with bling in the center and punched three pink hearts. The butterfly took awhile to find, some were to big or small or too pink and then I remembered these colored sequin ones in my stash. I chose silver to add some shine. The effect is a fun collage that I think my older daughter in her twenties will enjoy. Along with the chocolate I need to buy and get in the mail this week!

Die Cut Diva’s: Hearts and Flowers
Friendship Challenge #50: Hearty

I lost a sweet stamping friend to cancer this year, and this second Valentine will be for her husband. He gave me almost all her craft supplies, and I found this page completed in one of her coloring books. I die cut the heart out and put it on a Victorian background (since that’s what she adored) and added a sweet little cherub and a little sparkle to the middle. Holiday’s must be hard, and I’m hoping this will be like a little hug from above.

Karen, this is such a pretty Valentine! SO many details and love the shades of pink. Your little rhinestones are perfect for you flower centers and the butterfly! Thank you for joining my challenge at The Paper Players this week! XX
