Once again making a CAS has tested my patience in the craft room. After three attempts to get this Bird-day sentiment right I didn’t get mad I got even, and ripped him off his wooden block (tee-hee) and the fourth attempt worked perfect! Sometimes a stampers gotta do what a stampers gotta do.
The theme from Less is More this week is to use lot’s of small shapes but still keep your card CAS. I had several little birds in different colors die-cut already from the new stamp set called Grace’s Garden by Stampin Up, and decided to play with those. I’ve had this embossing folder from Darice for years, and the size of the birds paired well together. The sentiment that gave me such fits really set the mood for a fun birthday greeting for a bird loving recipient.

TIP: somewhere I read to use washi tape to hold down your dies when running them through your machine to keep them in place. This truly helps to not lose the little wee buggers too.

For recipe #2 from the Joy of Card Making Book, I’ve chosen to participate in “Send a card to a friend day” at the day of the month card club. I found the patterned paper first and then the metal heart. I stamped the word “Friend” then diecut a light pink heart and glued the metal heart over it, trimming the edges. The rose was part of a button that I added to the heart, and I picked a matching yarn to tie through the charm with a bow. This Card will also be entered at Die Cut Diva’s since the theme is hearts and flowers this month.

Every Inchie Monday this week is to make a 1 inch design of a snowman. I went with a pair since snowmen need friends too!

I love your statement that a stampers gotta do what a stampers gotta do. So very true. Wonderful CAS card and I too have trouble with CAS cards. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas for our February Challenge.
You’ve created some wonderful cards here. And that snowman is a perfect inchie too.
