Recycle and Retirement

I started with the sketch design and the idea of using something recycled, then added the challenge for it to be a guy card using brads. I was lost in trying to use a flaming silver Harley Davidson scrap of paper with bolt brads for a little while, before I found the Key to recycle. I decided on the car stamp and the retirement quote and found the wood background paper to finish off with a vintage vibe.

  1. Wonderful to see you again today, Karen. So glad you joined this recycle challenge. Your embossed image is awesome, and I thought the background was a real wood block before I read how it was made using paper. This is simply a perfect “recycled” card and a great addition to Try It On Tuesday’s recycling theme.

  2. Ooh, I thought this was a block of wood – nice paper. Great idea to recycle the key. I have lots of those but never use them… Nice retirement card and a great bit of ‘going green’ for our challenge at Try it on Tuesday. Thank you for sharing with us.
