Bible Journal, Hearts, Luke 10:27, Recycle, and Mojo

Today I tried my hand at art journaling in my devotional book on Luke. I found the Art Journal Journey while blog hopping and was totally inspired by all the creative people and the art they were working on. This is my first attempt with texture paste, and I think I might have a new addiction! This stuff is soooo cool to play with and it dried so fast. The spray on the other hand didn’t dry as quickly and I kept smearing with hodge podge while layering. I was hesitant to try to journal, because I thought I would have to be able to write in special fonts first. Instead I’m going with what I can do now, and maybe I’ll learn as I go.

I recycled a Kleenex box into a gift tag too today. This bear was too beautiful to toss away!
Mojo the Wonder Cat
He’s very busy memorizing scripture here

~ Meet Mojo the wonder cat ~ He is helping with my bible study homework today. Why is he a wonder cat you wonder? because he’s slightly human and loves to talk to you. He has more personality and love then any other cat I’ve ever owned and he never ceases to amaze or amuse our family.

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  2. I’m thrilled you decided to dip your toe into the art journaling water, Karen. I love what you have created. I hate my handwriting, but I use it on occasion. Most times, I print my sentiments or quotes and affix them to the page.

I made some texture paste a few months ago and used it all. I can only imagine how wonderful you must feel to have discovered it. It works so well with stencils, as you discovered. This bible journal page turned out great and I loved the monochromatic color you chose, too. Thank you beyond belief for joining in my theme at Art Journal Journey.

Bleubeard is so glad to “meet” another crafter cat. He would like to welcome Mojo, too. Mojo is beautiful and I was delighted to read how talkative he is. They all have their distinct personalities, don’t they?
