Gold Foil Winter Scene

When I Saw the Challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown to use foil I knew I had to give it a go. Recently I lost a wonderful stamping friend to cancer, and her husband graciously gifted me all of her craft supplies. One of the items I inherited were sheets and rolls of foil. Crafty Hazelnut helped me choose the color gold, and Challenge your life requested a winter scene.

I now have one card done and 49 or so more to go before December rolls around again.

The sentiment is from Penny Black (1997) and the embossing folder is by Cuttlebug. (not sure about the snowflakes)

Tip: The clear embossing pen by ranger worked like a charm to fix the “a” when after embossing I saw that it didn’t stamp well. I was able to draw it in and add more powder, and thankfully it worked! Also, the little anti static bags really do help to keep stray embossing powder from ruining your project.

  1. What a beautiful way to use the foil Karen – I especially like the embossed scene in it’s narrow vertical band.
I’m so sorry you lost your friend.
