Green Journal, Easter Egg, Coloring with Sharpies

At Art Journal Journey the theme is “Green” I had fun digging out scraps to create with. Notice the animals in the embossed tree ~ I love this stamp!

Big Egg & Small egg ~ Happy Easter! I used three different embossing folders and six different cutting dies to create this card. Here’s what’s funny though…I made this for four different challenges and it probably really only works for one! ~ oops ~ The joy of Sets ended yesterday 😦 I made a purple, embossing, oval. Less is more likes things clean and simple and well I’m still submitting it anyway because that’s where the idea of the card came from. Allsorts Challenge is to use three pearls and I used just a few more then that! Send a Smile 4 kids is what this card was made for -so- it’s still a winner in my book.

Here is Day one “Coloring with Sharpies” at the Daily Marker. I had to use other markers too because I don’t own a lot of sharpies (yet!) I’ll have this little guy ready now for a card this week.

  5. I apologize for taking so long to get here. I was busy elsewhere (grin) and offline, too. Then I had trouble keeping my internet going. I’m definitely trying to play catch up right now.

I love this journal page. What is so adorable is of course, the tree with the animal in it, but also the really different canceled postage stamps. This is a wonderful entry for Eileen’s theme at Art Journal Journey.

You did good with those Sharpies. I have a very, very limited craft budget, and I purchased a pack of 8 for under $10.00 (USD). I was surprised they didn’t cost more. I even got one metallic in the set. Regardless, yours looks amazing, right down to the shading.

    1. Hi! Thank you ~ I’m glad your internet is acting better for you! I remember the post on your blog when you received a surprise box of goodies and I would love to do a random act of kindness and do the same for you!! I lost a sweet stamping friend this Fall and her husband gave me all of her craft supplies. I’ve been blessed with an abundance and would like to share ~ I was thinking I would do a free give away box too on my blog but haven’t taken the time to figure out how! If you’d like, send me your address and a list of favorite items to craft with and I’ll see what I can find from my collection. my email is creativeseconds@veriizon.net ~ Have a great weekend!!

  6. What a pretty Easter card, I love all the different elements. At Less is More we do prefer to see areas of unpatterned/untextured white space, but I think your monochromatic design adds to the CASness (not a word I know! lol) Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
