My daughter Sarah turned 17 yesterday. She and Hubby made a mint chocolate checkerboard cake that turned out amazing!.

We had dinner out to celebrate at the newly remodeled Mahi’s at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Photo of our cool water bottle. They both had sushi and I had a chicken dish that was yum (no photo, too busy eating!)

I love seeing everyone’s blooms at Altered Book Lovers “T” for Tuesday posts, so I took some on my neighborhood walk this week. The Yellow is Forsythia I believe and the pink and yellow is a camellia bush, I have several beautiful bushes in different colors in my yard.

This is my grand dog Wilson, he’s a golden doodle and an absolute love! He lives in Raleigh NC with my oldest daughter Katie.

At left is my other cat Izzy, she was getting annoyed that I haven’t blogged about her yet. She sits on my office chair while I type. Mojo is at eye level sitting on my scanner keeping me company as well. Have a great week and thanks for allowing me to share my part of the world today!
Good morning, I enjoyed seeing your kitties, and your grand dog too-he looks likes a sweetie.
we do not have any signs of spring as of yet except for grass beginning to green up a bit-enjoyed seeing your spring blooms. The cake looks delicious! Happy T wishes Kathy

OMGosh, Karen. I left you a LONG response and somehow it disappeared. I am so tired and ready for bed, I’m not sure I can even remember what I wrote.
I know I wrote how much I LOVED that cake your daughter and your husband made for her birthday. I would have taken a ton of photos because it turned out so good. Also, happy belated birthday to your daughter,.
I remember wondering why you called Wilson your “grand” dog, until you explained he lives with your other daughter. Then grand made sense. Izzy is adorable, but Mojo stole my heart last week.
I remember commenting that spring had truly arrived where you live because of all those early spring flowers you found on your walk.
Finally, I remember saying I had a glass bottle similar to the one you were served at the restaurant. You don’t need to show food. Sometimes when people share food, I get really hungry afterward. Water is always a good choice. Thanks for sharing your cats, your daughter’s cake, her birthday, your springtime blooms, and your water at the restaurant with us for T this Tuesday. Let’s hope the internet gods are good to me this time.

Oh, I know my hubby would devour that cake!! Wonderful birthday celebration. Wilson is so sweet looking. I’ve always heard only good things about the Golden Doodle breed. Nice of your kitties to keep you such good company nearby:)
Only signs of Spring here so far are the snowdrops although I am seeing some budding on the trees and bushes, and early tulips and daffodils are beginning to break through the ground. It can’t be too much longer… happy T day!

What a lovely cake! Mint and chocolate are such a good combination. Well done your daughter and hubby! And a belated happy 17th birthday to the birthday girl.
Your great Doodle Wilson looks so sweet. Our daughter has a similar breed (apparently they don’t lose so much hair) and he is called Oscar and he is the sweetest dog.
It’s lovely to meet your cats too.
Yes, spring is coming. Thank you for the beautiful photos. So positive!
Happy T-Day.
Hugs,

Hi, Me again: I forgot to ask you how you are getting on with Worldpress. I tried to change over from Blogger to Worldpress as I use my iPad a lot and Blogger doesn’t work on iPad, so when I blog, I have to boot up my desk-top.
Did you have help setting it up? Do you have the paid version or the free version? I gave up in the end (I have nobody techie to ask really, unless I pay someone).

Hi again ~ I did the paid version and to convert from blogger wasn’t hard but trying to get it set up the way I want has been a struggle. The online tutorials weren’t very helpful, but they more help available that I haven’t stopped to try yet. I’m not techie either and I got this far so you can do it! My phone wouldn’t let me upload pics from blogger anymore so I had to make a switch. Blessings to you ~
