At Thursday’s Art Date the theme this week is “Luck” I created a bible journal page with rubber stamps, watercolor crayons and an aqua brush, along with a few stickers.
Here are some sayings on luck that I still enjoy:
“Blow out the candles and make a wish!”
“Find a Penny pick it up, and all the day you’ll have good luck!”
“Throw a penny in the fountain and make a wish”
“Make a wish on that shooting star!”
Some sayings I grew up with are superstitious:
“Don’t step on the crack, you’ll break your mother’s back”
“Don’t walk under a ladder”, or “let a black cat cross your path”
and how about rub the “The lucky rabbits foot”.
What I’ve come to believe since then is that God is in control. I found a great article Here.
Below is the summery of the article:
“From an earthly perspective, things may seem to happen at random, but throughout the whole of Scripture, it is clear that God is in control of all of His creation and is somehow able to take the random acts of natural law, the free will of both good and evil men, and the wicked intent of demons and combine them all to accomplish His good and perfect will (Genesis 50:20; Job chapters 1 and 42;Ā John 9:1-7). And Christians, specifically, are given the promise that God works all things, whether seemingly good or bad, together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).” from Gotquestions.org .

A beautiful journal page, wise and comforting words and some great quotes. Altogether a far post. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Valerie

What a wonderful page! In reply to your question on my blog: I use hot glue for fastening all my flowers, easiest way to make sure they don’t fall off. š

Luck pales in the shadow of faith … this is a beautiful post and a promising reminder that there is hope (it is hard to believe in this day and age, but we need faith). Thank you for this thoughtful post …
