A Second look on the 2nd

At the Altered Book Lover, we share a second look on the 2nd of the month at previous blog posts of ours that we’d like others to revisit.

Here is A card I made for Less is more, and 365 cards back in 2011. I used a recycled piece of jewelry at the top and embossed a frame image that I had cut slits and pushed the ribbon behind. I think it turned out very pretty.

Here I recycled an old button card also in 2011
And more recently, and in keeping with Elisabeth’s recycled Key theme is a retirement card using an old key as an embellishment.

Thanks for visiting!

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  1. I love all three cards, Karen. Don’t you wish you could get three buttons for that price today? And I even love that key, since I remember when you made that card. Thanks so very much for joining in and sharing your second look on the 2nd. Please stay safe, too.

  2. What lovely cards! All three with a recycling theme. The purple one is gorgeous. And the last one is a clever use of a key (and I love the quote).
Take care and have a lovely day,
    Hugs,

  3. Very nice cards. I first read this and wondered if you made 365 cards or if the challenge was 365 cards. I think it was the challenge. The buttons make a great texture addition. I never thought of using them on a card although I have used them in journaling. Hope you had a nice day. Hugs-Erika
