Friday Smiles, X, Y, and Z ScRapbook

Today was hard ~ I went to the dollar store which is 5 min. from my house and this is what the shopping center looks like:

Apparently the owner of the shopping center was informed that tomorrow will be a protest, so the owner in fear had all the shop fronts boarded up. Honestly, I cried ~ It’s sad and scary times, but we need to keep the faith; and keep finding the good!

I finally finished my ABC book for Sarah, Here is X, Y, & Z:

The Xylophone felt embellishment was purchased from the Craft widows on Ebay, and they did a fantastic job! Thank you ladies 🙂

Some Friday Smiles ~ because we need to keep smiling (even with a mask your eyes still crinkle!)

Blessings, Prayers & Love for your weekend!

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  1. I apologize for the lateness of my visit. I just finished working in my yard and still need a shower. However, I knew I had to visit before I did that, or I might fall asleep and it would be Saturday before I visited. These are scary times, but we had protests in Wichita over the weekend and they were quite peaceful until nightfall and some radicals came in who are from out of town, trying to disrupt the peaceful protestors.

You have created a fabulous scrapbook for Sarah. These last three letters are no exception, I really LOVE Yellow, but they are all so ingenious. Just wonderful and you can be quite proud of these. Hope you have a great weekend and find something to smile about. too.

  2. Wow, that looks scary! It was a fabulous idea to do an A-Z book for Sarah, such a beautiful set of pages and memories 😀. I loved seeing all your pages and it’s amazing that you had all the photos to complete it, was that intentional or did you just have the photos anyway? Those funnies really made me smile, the cookie monster is wonderful and the cat is purr-fect …lol 😉. Thanks for the smiles and wishing you a wonderful weekend! Stay safe and well! Hugs, Jo x

  3. Sorry I’m so late visiting…demand for face masks has increased so I’m being kept very busy again. They now say we have to wear them on public transport and they are advising we should all be wearing them in enclosed spaces too so I’m guessing I will be kept busy for a good while yet….I’ve made 14 this morning but have already sold 10!!
I’m so sad to hear all that is going on by your home….it really is very scary so please stay safe. Sending you muck love and hugs,
    Annie x

  4. These are such scary times, aren’t they Karen? But glad you are back blogging. And I love the pages you made with that little cutie. What is your next theme going to be now that you made it to Z? Have a super weekend. Hugs-Erika

  5. Hi Karen 🙂 I love your cookie monster funny! 🙂 It’s sad about the boarded up shops, but I’ll be honest, if I were the mall owner, I’d do the same thing. Violent people are not welcome in my world. I love your X, Y, Z art!! 🙂

  6. Thank you for posting the Mother Theresa quote Karen – God couldn’t care less about the colour of people’s skins.
It must have been hard to see the mall boarded up like that – sending hugs to you. It’s been lovely to see Sarah’s ABC album all the way through and I think these XYZ pages are some of my favourites. It’s lovely to see you continue to post your funnies too – made me chuckle! Vicky x

I use lakanto sweetener instead of swerve I buy online at their site but only when on sale good luck
