Tuesday Stands for Chicks, INchies, and Butterfly Card

Happy T Day! Sharing my drink and a few projects today with the Altered book lover group
Anniversary Lunch at Chick’s Oyster Bar. I had fish tacos with sweet potato fries and a skinny margarita crush ~ YUM!

I spotted a Momma duck with 7 babies cooling off in a puddle
Playing around with the napkin technique. Here I used one of the white ply’s from a decorated napkin and spritzed it with ink. Stamped, then placed the napkin over a pink colored piece of cardstock before adhering with an iron and saran wrap. It’s not perfect, but I think it turned out sweet with fun sorbet colors.

embossing powder is “chinese red” which gives it the fun flecks of color and dimension

Have a great week stay well and hydrate!

    1. Happy Anniversary! What a lovely way to celebrate. Most years it would seem pretty ordinary. But this year …

Your card is lovely. I’m not familiar with saran wrap ironing to adhere things. I’ll have to check that out!

      Your inchies re fabulous!!

      Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

The card is beautiful and the inches are so cute, especially the one with the flip-flops.

  5. I’ll echo what everyone else has said and hope you had a lovely anniversary, I’ve never tried fish tacos, but have always wanted to. Hard to find good fish in KS, though. Your meal looks wonderful and I’d LOVE those fries. Looks like your margarita was the perfect addition to the meal.

Sweet ducks. LOVED the card for your husband. I’ve tried saran wrap to hold a napkin in place. I wrote a tutorial. I used pellon, freezer paper and cling wrap. Here is the tutorial:

To make a long story even longer, the cling wrap didn’t work for me. Several people gave suggestions as to reasons it didn’t.

You made some awesome inchies. I love the flip flops. Thanks for sharing your inchies, your cards, and your anniversary meal and margarita with us for T this Tuesday, dear Karen.

  8. Karen, to answer your question about the photo from New England, according to the magazine I got it from, you are looking at a locale on Nantucket. I should have been more specific, but I was just trying to get the page photographed and online in time.

  10. Oh Karen, look at the pair of you looking so happy! I hope you had the best anniversary – and I’m hoping that was the card you gave to Ed. It’s very romantic and beautifully made. How nice to be joined by a mother duck and her little ones – lucky you didn’t have Wilson with you!! I love your inchies and am intrigued by the embossing powder šŸ™‚
