75th Birthday and Friday Smiles

My neighbor and friend turned 75 today so I made her a birthday card. I found inspiration at Double D Challenges to make it beachy, and found the design at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Lot’s of stamping and fussy cutting shells which I had done about a year ago on vacation for such a time as this. It made the card fast and easy to assemble. I used the “number of years” large number dies by Stampin’ Up! and the “TH” die is from Papertrey Ink.

I had another visit from Wilson, my grand dog . He’s a golden doodle and he stayed with me for the week. He is such a love!

Also It’s time to share some Friday Smiles with the gang from A stitch in time:

  1. I’m sorry I’m so late making my visits this week….and no I haven’t been making more face masks today….that’s cos I’ve made 4 Memory bears 🙂 The world has gone crazy in many ways cos I think I still have 11 Memory bears to make yet!!!
I love your 75th card and your funnies had me chuckling…thanks for sharing them.

Love this card with its beachy vibes and fabulous bold numbers.
But the star of the show? It has to be Wilson! He has such a happy face and I’m sure he is the goodest of good boys! You will really miss him I know. Sending hugs, Vicky x

  3. That is a lovely birthday card. I like the ‘weathered wood’ background. It is very fitting for the shells.
Wilson is gorgeous. he looks likes he would lick you to death before he even barked at you. He’s just begging for a cuddle.
Some good funnies to keep us all smiling. Thanks for that.

  4. Am I the only person who can’t see the funnies? It takes me to another page, then I still can’t see it and I have to start over clicking on the blog post again.

I DO see the beautiful birthday card, though, and it is truly lovely, Karen. I really LIKE the beach feel you gave it. Hope you have a great weekend because it looks like I missed Friday in your world.
