Hello Silhouette , Black and White Floral and Inchie

CAS on Friday: Anything but white and TGIF Silhouettes challenge and Shopping our Stash: Black and white, are the sites that inspired me to make these two cards this week.

The Purple card was made with a die from Stampin Up and layered on handmade paper. The black and white card the die is by memory box (I think) and I layered on a page from an old book on wildflowers that I found at the thrift store. I added the sentiment sticker “Enjoy the little things” to add to this simple greeting and layered both on craft paper.

Happy T day everyone at the Altered Book Lover! I received a sweet ATC from Erica and Elizabeth this week that I’ll post pictures of next week and I sent my ATC off to Sharon so hopefully she will receive mine soon as well.

Cold peppermint tea is my drink of choice this Tuesday to share with the gang at The Altered Book Lover
Here the Cats are taking back there rightful spot in the window after Wilson (grand dog) went home to NC.
My Daughter Katie and grand dog Wilson ~ Only his 2nd visit to the beach! Below is a video of him swimming for all the dog lovers out there. Katie’s very proud “Mom” voice is what you’re hearing 🙂

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  3. I have a daughter Katie and granddog Pete (even though he lives permanently with us). Nice art too. It’s been hot, hasn’t it? Cold peppermint tea is really refreshing! Nice choice. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika

  5. Sorry I’m late visiting. I’ve had internet problems again. I love the black and purple. That looks like mulberry paper. It is beautiful, as is the black and white card. That’s why I don’t make cards. Yours would definitely put mine to shame.

Your inchie is adorable. I can’t begin to make anything that small anymore. You draw and paint SO well.

That’s a super video. That dog loves to swim. Your daughter is very proud indeed.

Your peppermint tea looks so refreshing. I love the shape of those ice cubes, too (grin). Thanks for sharing your cards, your inchie, your daughter’s dog and video, and your tea with us for T this belated Tuesday.

  6. Reading the comments here Karen and we’re all in love with Wilson! Lovely to see him at the beach and Katie does sound proud! I can see the cats are glad to get their spot back 😉
How fun to see a card with mulberry paper! The die cut looks very dramatic against the purple. The second card is b&w perfection – and what a great idea to use the page as your background for the die cut flower.
Love the little sun hat inchie in those lovely bright colours and peppermint tea? Yes, that’s what I need a cup of right now! Vicky x
