Happy T day to the Altered Book Lover crew! My hubby, my daughter, and I went fishing recently on a beautiful sunny day on the Chesapeake Bay. We didn’t catch any fish, but we enjoyed trying.
We passed a tug boat and It got me wondering, what is it about tug boats that make me smile? It must be a childhood memory of Theodore the tugboat. Or is it just because they’re such hard working and useful crafts?. In any case, I just love this type of boat!
We spotted Sting Ray, a Sea Turtle, and several pods of Dolphin which I took a short video of here:

I’ve also never heard of Theodore the Tugboat, but it’s cute. I also like the shape of a tugboat and the fact it’s big enough to be seaworthy, but small enough a small crew can handle it. I enjoyed the video and really appreciated the pod of dolphins, something I haven’t seen since the last time I visited CA.
LOVED your card. I like when you recycle items. It’s really clever, both inside and out. It’s ironic that the inchie of the week is beach, since many of the east coast beaches are closed due to Isaias.
How great to be able to be out and about near the water and be able to stay on your boat, too. The Orange Crush sounds refreshing. Thanks for sharing your lovely card, your inchie, your video, the photos, and your drink with us for T this Tuesday, Karen.

My childhood tugboat is Scuffy. From Wikipedia:
“Scuffy the Tugboat is a children’s book written by Gertrude Crampton and illustrated by Tibor Gergely. The book was first published in 1946 as part of the Little Golden Books series. Scuffy is a toy tugboat who wishes for “bigger things” than sailing in the bathtub.”

Thank God you had no damage after storm Isaias blew through.
It must have been so lovely being on the water on a sunny summer’s day. I enjoyed seeing the dolphins in the video. What is the causeway i n the distance? Is it a bridge?
Your card is beautiful. I love the colour combination. And the quote of course. It is so true. We live in a rural village where life goes according to nature’s pace. A bit frustrating to start with, but we are used to it now and ‘go with the flow’.

Hi Lisca, Yes that’s the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel ~ it’s 17.6 miles long and takes almost 1/2 hour to cross!

Your card is just delightful! Love the image, the sentiment and that fun washi tape! But I was really excited to see the dolphins…we aren’t too far from the Chesapeake Bay, and we see dolphins in the ocean and bay at Lewes and Rehoboth, Delaware! Fun stuff!
