Here we are at Tuesday again and over at The Altered Book Lover we share a drink and something that we’ve been working on. I made a tag for Tag Tuesday for the bi-weekly theme “Ladybirds”. I stamped, colored, and added washi tape and embellished with a big red button to complete.

Hubby and I went to Watermen’s Surfside Grille for a date night on Saturday. The weather was cool enough to enjoy outdoor dining. My drink of choice was a lemon crush and Ed had an IPA on tap. It wasn’t too crowded because we went after people have left the beach, and before the night party people go out.

Kitchen renovations are slow but here you can see the one wall came down and a new header went up along with the framing for a new wall making the kitchen wider.

Here the wall was removed and the kitchen extended to add a counter with cabinets. The Electrician is coming back today so that phase will begin next.

Lastly, for those who are into nature; I took some pictures of the massive tree in our neighborhood that had to be taken down as with each storm more of the limbs were falling and knocking out the power. I was amazed that it was rotten at the base, then appears to be healthy in the middle sections only to be rotten at the limbs again. ~ Sounds like a life lesson in there somewhere.

Blessings on the rest of your week!
Hi Karen! I LOVe the pretty ladybird tag, so pretty, you’ve made me happy with that. Thanks for joining us at Tag Tuesday again. Next week it will be all about farms and farm animals, but don’t tell, it’s still secret:) How nice to go to the beach, especially at a time when it wasn’t too crowded. And you had some nice drinks. Glad your renovations are underway, I’m sure it must be a lot of work. Have a good week, stay safe, hugs, Valerie

Hi Karen, I really like your lady bug tag, sad about the tree-but being rotten at the base needed to come down for sure. You must be getting excited with your kitchen renovations-kinda like the Property Brothers-Glad you found a nice place out for a date night. even before covid when we would go out to eat was always during off hours so less crowded that way Happy T have a good new week-hugs Kathy

It probably doesn’t feel like it to you, But it looks like the workers are making fast progress on the kitchen renovation.
Life lesson from the tree: we’re all born innocent and good, but some take a wrong path and turn rotten. The lucky ones find redemption and turn back to good human beings.
Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

as to the fun car… yep… I tossed that coin, it said take the cheaper one, I was so disappointed I said, hey…there’s my answer! Good luck to your daughter’s decisions… some choices are quite hard to make. I am not brave enough to go out for a beer here… the covid infection rate is ever growing in our area due to hardheads refusing to take it seriously despite deaths. All we can do is try to avoid them. The beach is inviting but it will hopefully be there when it’s safer to go out. We lived near the Delaware beaches til we moved to CO, brown colorado.

The ladybug tags are adorable. Looks like the restaurant has a nice spot on the beach. I like the beach when there are few people around, too. The kitchen looks like it will be super when completed. Take care and Happy T Day

The surfside restaurant sounds like just the place to go, and that beach would have me wading along in the waves. Happy T Tuesday!

Your ladybug tag is wonderful. I don’t have any ladybug stamps, so I really like yours. You made a real beauty.
I’m impressed with how quickly your kitchen renovation is coming along. I’m sure you would love to have it finished, but it really looks good how much progress has already been made.
How sad about the tree. A metaphor for a life gone wrong, I suspect. I like how you showed what happened to the tree, too.
So glad you are brave enough to actually eat out. Not me. I almost didn’t stop, but Sharon had a good experience with going there, so I thought it would be safe, too. Thanks for sharing your time at the beach with your drinks. It was a beautiful spot, at least. And thanks for sharing your tag, inchie, kitchen renovation, and your drinks at the beach with us for T this Tuesday.

Loving the inchie, such a serene scene with those beautiful colours 😁. The tag is adorable with those little ladybirds – gorgeous 😁. Waterman’s looks like a lovely place too, perfect for T Day and those drinks look very refreshing! Wow, your renovations look amazing, I bet you’re pleased with how it’s looking. What a surprise with the tree too, glad you are ok after the storm. Wishing you a very Happy T Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x

Nice to be able to go enjoy a beachside drink. You had smart timing (in my mind at least.) And your renovations are at least moving forward. I have that same coppery lamp, only mine is hanging in my upstairs hall. We didn’t pick it out but have never gotten around to replacing it either. And very nice ladybug tag. I like it. Hope it was a super T day Karen. And happy September too! Hugs-Erika

Great that you have been able to go to a beach bar to have a drink before the evening crowds come out. Temperature not too hot. Perfect. (although a nice IPA in a plastic cup wouldn’t do it for me)
Your kitchen refurbishment is coming on great. Those extra 50 cm are going to make all the difference, you’ll see.
Wow, that tree! Interesting to see the tree was only rotten in certain places.
Love your ladybird tag and dark blue inchie.
Happy belated T-Day (Yes, I’m late again as per usual. Tuesday is just a very busy day and I spend the whole of Wednesday catching up)

Oh, glad that tree was cut down! With that rotten trunk it was only a question of time, when it would have come down completely. Beautiful little tag you made. Have a nice day!

I’m enjoying seeing the kitchen remodel progress photos. The place at the beach you went to looks like a nice area to relax and walk around in. I’m surprised at how rotted the base of that tree was. I recently had 5 trees come down, and two of them had similar rot at the base, although not that bad. Happy Belated T-Day!

What a fabulous place to go for your treat! improvements always seem to take longer than expected in my experience, but it will be great one day soon! That poor tree, but it does look timely – a few years ago, on a calm sunny day my hubby watched a tree over the road just fall, fortunately not on the road but very nearly onto a car on the grass in front. Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
