Junk Journal Pockets, Ribbon , and Renovations

My latest creation is called a large junk journal pocket inspired by a video I watched HERE by Joie de fi. I just glued my layers on, I didn’t sew. I really enjoyed finding different bits and pieces to insert into all the pockets.

Next, my ribbon collection:

Today, I’m sharing my ribbon instead of my work surface for What’s on your work desk Wednesday. I store all my thin rolls of ribbon by color in a yard sale children’s dresser that has four drawers that aren’t too deep. The bottom drawer holds some of the wide non-holiday ribbons and all the misc. others that don’t fit in a category. The plastic containers for my scraps I found at the thrift store. I believe they stored beanie babies or small dolls to display and protect from dust. I’ll have to share my holiday ribbon in December if you enjoy seeing this! I have several under the bed rolling containers filled with pretty wide ribbon.

House renovation update:

Here are the latest pictures of the kitchen with the cabinets going in:

And the Office:

This is going to be our office. I’m loving how it’s all custom fit, it should be beautiful when it’s finished. Knobs are going in today and the templates for the counters are done as well.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
