T stands for Three, and time to celebrate

On Tuesday’s we share a beverage and what we’ve been up to with the crew at The Altered Book Lover. One of my neighbors children just turned three and had a unicorn themed birthday party, so I made her this happy pink card. I added stickles to the die cut unicorn, floral trim, and some bling to the number three to embellish this greeting.

My next card was inspired by two challenges, one a picture challenge at Just Us Girls, and another to use more then one type of foliage at Less is More.

I found the clock die cut first and then added three different leaves and flowers from Stampin’ Up’s Beautiful Bouquet, bird/leaf punch, and Marvy foliage punch. I kept this simple by just embossing the background with woodgrain and distress inking the edges.

“Time to Celebrate” was stamped using the misti stamp positioner which helped me see if it would fit in the space, and thankfully it did.

I went shopping at Ross yesterday and scored some organic teas at a good price which I will use as my beverage reference for this week. Classic Chai, Anti-Stress Ashwagandha, and Immunity now made with Elderberries. The only one that’s new to me is the Ashwagandha, which upon first sip doesn’t have much flavor…maybe if it steeps longer…?

Lastly, my friend Maria, her grandson, and I decided to put caution tape around another friends tree and across her front door as a Halloween surprise. I also printed this wine tag HERE and we left the bottle on her doorstep. This was on Sunday and I haven’t seen her yet to see what her reaction was like. I’m sure she got a good laugh, I know we did!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

  1. Hi Karen, lovely cards, that 3 year old will be happy! Who doesn’t like pink unicorns? Love the BOOze bottle, a nice surprise for your neighbours. Hope you enjoy your new tees, and that they have a good effect on you. Happy T Day, have a great week, hugs, Valerie

  2. Beautiful cards. I just bought Ink Pad for embossing as I somewhere got embossing powerder – I hope it works with a hairdryer as I was not willing to spend €30 for the right tool.

I absolutely love the wine-tag and the whole idea!! Happy Halloween and a happy T-day and week!

  3. Two very special cards, Karen. I don’t know which one I like better. I bet the 3-year old loved her blinged card. The clock card is striking (double entendre intended).

I hope you’ll share your neighbor’s reaction to the Halloween decorating you did – lol. The wine gift tag is perfect.

Happy T-Day. Stay safe and stay well. Hugs, Eileen

  4. Halloween pranks that are harmless and funny are really helpful in these depressing times. My neighbors are doing a huge amount of decorating, including fake spider webs in many bushes, but I think they are put there by the owners.

  7. I so enjoyed your post this morning and I am sure your friend got a kick out of your prank and gift! In times like these we have to have a little fun. I love how you took the clock in the photo and made it the focal point of your card. It fit perfectly! Great card! Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls!

  8. Fabulous cards. I buy dried elderberries and make my own elderberry syrup to take as supplement to boost immunity. What a fun surprise you made for your friend. Happy T Day

  9. I am leaving this generic message for everyone who visited and participated in T Tuesday. I want to thank you for visiting. You may have noticed I was offline off and on for three days. I kept losing electricity. Each time, I was able to visit a few people before the electricity went out again. The third time, I was leaving a comment for Valerie when I heard a huge BOOM. There was a flash of light, the windows and walls shook. It felt like an earthquake to me, but it only lasted a second or two. I believe they have finally fixed the electricity in my neighborhood. I won’t know until I get to explore the internet, but it may have been very local. I know I saw two bucket trucks driving up my street less than an hour after it happened. With no heat, the temperatures both nights dipped into the mid-20s F (low 4s C). Thanks for your participation and thanks for hopefully understanding why I was unable to visit for T this week.

  10. Some lovely makes Karen. A great idea to use the clock face for the card, it makes a super focal point for the foliage and flowers. Thank you for sharing with us at Less is More,
