What do you do to treat yourself after a mammogram? I went to Joann’s fabric and bought 40% Christmas ribbon which I think has lot’s of creative potential for only $11 and change.

That’s one of the piles that was on my desk this week that I’m sharing with you, and the work desk crew at The Stamping Ground this Wednesday.
The other projects were inspired by a video HERE by Sandy, Septeria18. Cute tiny circle shaped loaded pockets for junk journals. I made one with jewel tones and one in burnt orange, grey and olive green. These were really fun to make, and will be a sweet interactive journal stop page. I added tags, playing cards, book pictures, mini envelopes, quotes, postage, and mini cards to journal in.

Renovation news: First phase of den complete: old ceiling removed and the rafters had to be moved to center in the room. Next all the duct work has to be reworked, electricity worked and a new ceiling constructed. That’s as far as were going to go with that room till after the holidays for sanity sake.

I caught my project manager sleeping on the job ~ good help is hard to come by.

It’s a good thing he’s so handsome. Blessings on your week!
Looks like you have a big task ahead of you Karen. I look forward to seeing the fresults after the holidays. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

Love those circles! and yep ribbon sounds like a lovely treat after having your boobs squished terribly! I read some study or another that when women are allowed to control the level of pressure themselves they more often than not use enough to get a great image, plus they feel more in control then when it is done TO them. Anyway, the reno is still coming along and I am keen to see the big reveal at the end! Not as much as you, I’m sure….
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Karen. Oh my – your home will be so beautiful when finished – but what a lot of work. Bet you will be glad when you are done. A little shocked at the project manager’s sleepy pose – as you say…/ a good worker is hard to come by. Those little pockets are great – they will fit into a journal so well, and just be a bit different. Well done.
take care. God bless.

Adore your circle pockets, will have to try those. Ribbons are super too. But was totally taken in by your renovations and the ceiling centering! Good job.
I did buy a lot of jigsaws from charity shops but yes a lot have pieces missing, it was a theme of one of my posts a while back, as in what to do with them when you find this fact out, I mean you can’t really donate them again can you, well I can’t.
All the best for your dental bill
Thanks for the visit BJ#10

What a great idea to make the pockets circular and load them with tags like that. Great bargain at Joannes with the ribbon and I can well imagine my doing something like that back in the day – treating myself. I used to do just that when I went to the dentist.
Well, that is one heck of a room – it’s massive and how lovely it will be when its finished. But what a lot of work. Good idea to finish it after the holiday.

I am so enjoying seeing your renovations, Karen! Here in the UK we have several TV series about house renovations and I watch them all avidly – I love that sort of thing! In my parents’ old house (a 300-yr old cottage), they had a large inglenook fireplace, and to one side was a recess. It was the bread oven! A lot of old houses have them. My hubby’s family lived in an ancient house with a vast fireplace and hidden behind that was a priest hole – they used to hide the Catholic priests in them during Tudor times when they were often burnt at the stake. I don’t think a priest would probably fit in your indoor grill, though!! He might get burnt if he did!
I love the idea of treating yourself to some new fun stash after your mammogram. Any excuse for buying new stash is OK in my book! I love your new ribbons – so pretty!
Thank you for your lovely comment – so funny that we both posted pics this week of our kitties on their backs! At least Mojo has a job, even if he’s lying down on it. My hubby says Lily’s job is “guarding the bed” but I remind him that soldiers who go to sleep while on guard duty get shot. As far as I am concerned, Ruby’s only job is to be cute and to be my baby lol! They do come fairly high on the cuteness overload score, don’t they. I’m so glad you enjoy seeing them! For me, kitty sharing on WOYWW is as important as desk sharing.
Thank you for all your good wishes and blessings! I hope you have a wonderful week too. Keep the renovation pictures coming – I am loving them!
Happy WOYWW,

I love watching renovations and will be keen to see how things progress!
We will be having a new kitchen and new flooring very soon and I’m really not looking forward to all the upheaval that will cause!
Take care and stay safe

Oh boy, you really did mean renovations. I recommend you find some very important away from the house jobs on the day of the scraping of the insulation. Yuck and oh man! It’s a lovely big room and I love the idea of the whitewashed brick.
The circle pockets are great, I love that they’ll make a good ‘stop’ point in your journal, what a nice way to put it. I really think we need to go from calling them junk journals to treasure books…I never look at one that I don’t covet!

Love your circle pocket, I have seen tiny ones before, but that looks quite big. I guess you can make them any size to fit your journal. Tenno will look great when finished, but some that’d when they are in progress, I have never heard of an indoor grill in the wall. Was it like an indoor barbecue? Have a great week Angela #26
