T stands for Lighted Boat Parade, Peace on Earth

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday to the T gang over at the Altered Book Lover. I would like to share my glass of Chianti for my drink of choice this week that I enjoyed along with a fantastic meal at The Porch restaurant while viewing the lighted boat parade on the Lynnhaven Inlet in Virginia Beach.

This was the first of hopefully many boat parades to come here in Virginia Beach, and it was very well attended.

This picture was taken off the bridge and posted on facebook, and shows the boats a mile long down the Inlet.
We were invited to board one of the boats, and here is my daughter Katie enjoying the parade. (Masked removed for photo)

I had time this morning to craft, so I made a card for two card challenges:

Stamping Sensations: Anything with wings, and Festive Friday: Where I picked the Star, Ribbon, Bell, and Peace on Earth.

I took this angel off the block, so I’m not sure who created it and the same with the Peace on Earth Sentiment. The star and the bell embellishments are by Stampin’ Up! The blue sparkle/shiny card stock was recycled from an old Christmas card. One card done for 2021, and only 49 more to go!

Here is my vintage Manger scene that my daughter Sarah helps me arrange every year. Don’t you love how many are inside and how closely gathered each figurine is to the baby Jesus?!

Draw near and experience the love and blessings of the Season!

  1. The lighted boat parade sounds like just the thing for this Covid year. The restaurant setting looks like an excellent vantage point. The view of the parade from the bridge is impressive.

You have a beautiful manger set. Yes, I do love how they are gathering so close around the baby Jesus.

Happy T-day and Merry Christmas! Hugs, Eileen

  2. We have those boat parades in summer on our river, but I like the idea of sharing a little holiday joy with a lighted boat parade at Christmas. Your daughter is beautiful and it was fun to see her on a boat, too.

You created a gorgeous card, Karen. Your cards are incredible and I am so in awe. Even though I had intended to show yours this week, I am showing it next week when I share all the ones I receive.

Your glass of Chianti sparkles with the lighting in the background. Thanks for sharing your glass of Chianti that goes so well with the boat parade and your lovely card. A perfect addition for T this Tuesday, dear.
