T stands for Toast, and Trio Pocket

Happy T day to you and all the followers at the Altered Book Lover. Today I share my mug of green tea and my Gluten Free toasted muffin with butter and almond butter. I asked Hubby to pick this up for me, and while it has good texture and taste it’s high in sugar and sodium. Sometimes I just want a piece of toast, and this week was one of those occasions.

Here is Mojo and Izzy basking in the sun shining through the front door, and in their new favorite spot in front of the kitchen heat vent. Jeanie of the Marmelade Gypsy asked how the kitchen was coming along, and I realized I never posted finished pics! We’re about 95% done with just the dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove vent, floor vents, and proper trim paint to go. I’m loving our new space, storage, and light.

I’m hoping to do more swaps again this year, so I started right in with a Trio pocket for a women who loves Fall and tent camping. The swap was based on a tutorial by Pinstrawberryz you can watch HERE. I added big and little tags, chai tea (another of her faves) and a few other surprises in the three pockets and in her envelope.

Enjoy your Week!

look for the sunshine to warm you, or a nice warm blanket to snuggle in.

I’m going to get out my little portable space heater and get crafting!

  1. I always get frustrated when I look for gluten free or sugar free products as they are usually very high in sodium, or fats or gf high in sugar. so now I just do without or make my own. you must be getting so excited with your re do projects-enjoy I love your cardmaking Happy T wishes

  4. Looks like your kitchen is coming along really well to me. We had ours done a few years ago and have been pretty happy with it, although they didn’t do the best job on the floor.

  6. Your kitchen is looking gorgeous Karen. I love the light, and especially the kitties enjoying the sun. I am jealous as my kitchen is a bit dark and one of these days I am going to put in more windows. I can see that pretty farmer’s sink too. I’m glad you shared Karen, and I hope it was great T day. Hugs-Erika

  8. I was by earlier, then got called away before I could leave a comment. I also had a ton of paperwork I was trying to get out yesterday, which sucked up my time. I was late getting my T post up yesterday and now I’m even later playing host. I’m sorry I’m late visiting.

Needless to say, your new floor is awesome and both your cats look perfectly content lying in the sun. Something about sun coming through a window and cats! I really like the island.

Your pocket swap items are lovely. I’m sure your swap partner will be pleased. It’s all lovely.

I’ve never had to worry about gluten, but I certainly feel for you. I know people who suffer badly if they eat just a tiny bit of anything with it. Your green tea must have gone well with your toast. Thanks for sharing your kitchen update, your pocket swap items, and your toast and tea with us for T this Tuesday (a day late on my part).
