WOYWW, Valentine’s and Book Page Tags

Hello to you, and everyone over at the stamping ground for “What’s on your work desk Wednesday”. I finally finished my last Valentine for the year:

Here is my Last Valentine for this year. Vicky at Crafting Clare’s inspired this card from her beautiful pastel CAS version.
Valentine supplies still spread out
All clean and ready for the next project.

Along with pictures of my desk, I’d like to share with you some book page collage tags that I made for my swap partner over at Swap-bot. The idea to create these came from a video by “I’m a cool mom” that you can watch HERE.

My partner likes animals, nature, and camping so I made her a tag with a Raccoon, and another with a Blackbuck and Okapi.

Two Book Collage tags for my swap partner

I’m going to keep this one for my journal

I’m going to keep the purple floral tag for my journal and my daughter Sarah made the one with the mushroom and deer. We added cardstock to the back for thickness, and to write on the back.

My daughter Sarah made this tag.
And here is my granddog Wilson sporting his new haircut and Valentine bandanna from Grandma 🙂

And wisdom, scripture, or thoughts to ponder:

~ Keep smiling! and enjoy your week ~

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  2. Love your tags! They walk the line between detailed and complex but also simple and elegant. Same can be said of the card – very do-able but very sweet. Your very smart dog made me smile too.

    Happy WOYWW!

  3. Your tags are great what a lovely idea and they will be greatly appreciated by your friend no doubt, but I am sorry the grandog steals the show this week with his jolly bandana. They say never work with animals and I think if we put one on our blog it is the same – they always steal the limelight.

  6. Your tags are gorgeous – and of course the one your daughter made too – I love everything about them. Wilson is adorable – what a wonderful expression and a cute bandana. I really ought to get cracking on a Valentines card – you have reminded me that it’s nearly upon us.
Have a good week, stay safe and well,

  7. Ah Karen, what a joy your desk is, I love that you clearly have a section for Valentines stuff in your storage which suggest organisation which is the crafters other hobby isn’t it? a you’re winning, I think! The tags are great, I like working relatively small, but am frustrated that they don’t use up as much stuff as I could do with them using! Silly, but can’t help it. Your swop partner will be really chuffed that you thought so much about her likes. Love the pic of Wilson, he looks very smart in his bandana, wouldn’t mine one myself!

  8. Love the tags, O love that you have quite a lot on a small space,

The colour on the embossing folder I coloured with promarkers, I love doing it as it brings the embossing out,

  9. Hi Karen. Great tags – you have been busy! And you have made lots of Valentine cards? Oh my goodness – I haven’t done a single one – hubby died 4 years ago, so I rather think the last one I made would have been in 2016 – for him. I don’t have a call to make them to sell. Rather a cute bandana for Wilson.
    Take care. God bless.

  10. What a lovely post Karen! Your tags/book marks are beautiful and inspiring. I love that there’s lots of detail on them but they still seem very CAS and elegant. I’m beyond proud that my card inspired yours!! Your bright dotty hearts are lovely and the chubby little heart embellishments are very cute – someone will feel loved! And talking of loved – its Wilson!! What an adorable face he has – and looking very smart in his bandana too! Finally, Joseph Addison (had to look him up!) definitely knew what he was talking about when it came to smiles. Sending smiles to you and your family Karen, Vicky x
