WOYWW, Black and White Inchie Moon, Birthday Wishes

It’s been several weeks since I took a picture of my desk and shared What’s on my work desk, so here it goes! A rubber stamp that I didn’t use, yellow ribbon, scissors, punches, tape, lot’s of glue, garbage scraps and ink.

I did just complete a card for the AAA Cards Challenge to make a black and white inchie. I combined it with Every Inchie Monday’s challenge to make an inchie moon.

I also made a card for my great niece who is turning 2. I used the challenge from AAA Birthday to use patterned paper and the sketch challenge from Sunday Stamps

And wisdom, scripture, or thoughts to ponder:

-Stay positive and enjoy your week!-

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  1. Oh my, if I’d seen that gorgeous unicorn birthday card back in January, I’d have commissioned you to make one for my great niece who’s just turned 5 and is besotted with unicorns!! It’s gorgeous and would appeal to girls of all ages! I like the And Finally blessing too, I’ll remember that one.

  2. Hi Karen. What a card! unicorn, fairy princess castle… even a frog prince. What more could a young princess want?! Goodness. I’m not sure I could produce a piece of artwork just an inch square… must give it a go sometime – you know, when I have nothing else to do…
What a view outside your craft room window! Is that a lake or canal? Or a river… Beautiful.
    Take care. God bless.

  7. Hi Karen, it’s amazing how many other blogs you pick up on when you are going round on a Wednesday. Inchies always scare me a little as they are so tiny, but may have a go! That’s the trouble so many craft ideas to do, I jump from one idea to the next. Have a great week Angela #17

  8. What a cute little card for a 2-year-old – she’s gonna love it with the unicorn and all! When did unicorns become so popular – they’re everywhere these days! Thanks for your visit earlier! The 100-day challenge is an instagram initiative – it’s not about teabags, that’s just my take on it. You can choose your own project – the idea is that you do something creative 100 days in a row. I cheated a little because I’m working in weekly batches but that’s ok too. Here’s a link where you can find out more about it: https://the100dayproject.org/

  9. Lovely work, Karen, with great layouts and themes. The inchie moon is delightful – a really clean look to the card, too. Your desk looks lovely, with a stunning view of what looks like a canal – am I right? Beautiful!

Thank you for your visit. I seem to be unusual in that my hubby is the one who clears up cat sick – mostly it seems to be a job left to the women to do! Perhaps it has to do with the theory that women are used to it because of sicky babies! I’m glad you are enjoying the progress of the cat throw. It’s such a fun project to work on. The kitties share our laps – we’ve got one each as I type this, but we frequently have both. When I have my legs up on the recliner there’s room for both of them and the laptop. Ruby will come for cuddles but for Lily, I’m just a convenient warming platform with more comfort provided than the floor! She loves my hubby, though.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  13. The simplicity of a B&W card, combined with the stitches and white space – very effective! Happy Birthday to the 2 year old, what a cute card! Thanks for your visit, have a great rest of the week, Lindart #31

  14. Hi Karen 🙂 These cards are so different from each other and both are brilliant! I love the way you added elements to your inchie design that expand into the white area. The unicorn card is a perfect mix of pattern and fairytale elements. That is a lovely view from your window and your desk always makes me want to come and join in! Have a great weekend, Vicky x
