I joined a swap on Swap-bot to create a collage greeting card and mail it to one randomly assigned partner. I’ve been making only holiday and birthday cards lately, so this was a welcome change. The card base is 5×7 and I scored a frame along the edge. I picked several elements to start and then picked the background mat to match. I laid out the larger pieces first and glued them down, and then just kept adding. I find it challenging to know when to stop, and hope that I balanced out the images enough. I added the metal charm for a little dimension, color and shine. I decorated the envelope to mail it in as well.

For anyone following and wondering what I’ve been up to, I’ve been helping my oldest daughter plan her wedding in July! I just hosted her bridal shower this past weekend and we had a wonderful time. My youngest is testing out her wings and has flown the nest for a while, and that leaves my husband and I trying to find a “new normal” once again. Enjoying the Spring and the changes, and taking one day at a time.

VERY NICE!!!!!

Very creative and elegant collage card ~ I agree ~ it is sometimes a challenge to know when ‘enough is enough’ with collaging ~
