T stands for Coffee, Cards and Confession

It’s been a loooong time since I joined the T group at The Altered Book Lover with a drink and a life update. I’m sharing my Coffee, and some cards I made yesterday, and a small confession. Confession first = every time I have to get my blood drawn and fast, I eat something I shouldn’t afterwards! This time it was a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, home fries, and coffee. I tried to put in half the creamer while driving and you can guess what happened to the other half… yup, spilled all over the passenger seat. On an up note, the breakfast was well worth the cheat 🙂

I made this card for my niece who is turning 17. Normally I do a sports related card since she is so athletic, but I decided to send her something more feminine for a change. I’m going to enter this in two blog challenges:

I also made a card for my great niece who is turning 9. This one you’ll notice I used a paper pieced puppy as a focal point. I actually buy these already made from crafters on Ebay for two reasons: it’s much quicker and easier to use premade, and I get to support another crafters hobby.

I’ll end with a picture of the strawberries I picked over the weekend and cut up to eat with angel food cake for Mother’s Day.

Yum! Picked at Brookdale Farms.

Hello! I'm a 50 something wife and mother of two girls ~ I started Blogging in March of 2011 on Blogger and just converted to WordPress in Dec 2019. I started paper crafting in 1995 when I first tried embossing with powder, I was so excited and couldn't believe it was so easy to make something so beautiful. Creativeseconds was started as a way of selling secondhand craft supplies and cards on Ebay and Etsy. You will find creative cards, tags, and paper crafting projects here as well as craft room organizational ideas. Follow along with me and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

  1. Coffee on the dashboard does look like an accident waiting to happen; I’m glad it was the passenger seat that received the spill, not your lap! Do I guess a McDonald’s breakfast? Traveling on the road, it’s McD that you find where ever you stop.

    1. Actually I only put the coffee on the dashboard to take the picture, The creamer spill was while I was trying to get the creamer in the cup and only use half! Lol. The restaurant of choice was Chick-fil-A, my fav.

  3. Thanks for your visit and comment about my cat, it is a trap though, she’s just waiting to grab you if you reach for her tummy lol. Lovely cards, and I think it’s OK to eat something tasty after getting blood drawn, you need to keep your blood sugar up etc. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

  5. Welcome back, Karen. It’s good to see you again. LOVE those cards, especially the first one.

I am actually proud of you. Every time I get near a needle and blood, I pass out. Seriously. I am so glad it was a mishap on the passenger seat. Thanks for sharing your cards, your strawberries, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear.
